Payment
In general, insurance companies compel physicians to use interventions and discourage physicians from spending time with patients. Our success is based on our ability to spend unhurried time with each family in order to develop highly individualized therapeutic plans that draw from a broad spectrum of integrative modalities. It is impossible to deliver this high quality of care within the insurance system. As such, Dr. Shetreat-Klein does not accept insurance. If you have insurance and have met your deductible, however, it is likely that a large percentage of this fee will be reimbursed to you.
We will help you to prepare receipts with proper coding for your insurance company. As a licensed MD whose fees and services are considered "reasonable, usual, and customary" by most insurance companies, Dr. Shetreat-Klein cannot guarantee or be responsible for any reimbursements.
Fee Schedule
We ask you to pay for our services in full at the time they are rendered, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Fees are assessed on time spent:
Initial consultation typically run 60-80 minutes.
Extended follow-up visits run 30 to 40 minutes
Brief follow-up visits run 15 to 20 minutes
Payment Options
We accept cash, checks, American Express, Mastercard, and Visa.
A $25.00 fee will be assessed for all returned checks.
Our cancellation policy
If you cancel or reschedule your appointment less than 48 hours (or 2 business days if preceded by a weekend or holiday) in advance of the appointment, you will be charged the full consultation fee.
